    Trying to transfer video to my pc...PLEASE HELP!!!

    I have cannon mini tape cam corder.. in order for me to transfer video to my pc (toshiba)satellite I have to use a DV cable (firewire) the problem is that my pc does not have any ports for that type of connection.... is their any attachment I can use to make the DV cable compatible w/ a USB port ?

    No, but even if you could rig something up, you wouldn't like the results of it. Your laptop is either obsolete or not powerful enough to do video editing. Unless you update to one with firewire, you will always be going backwards with video editing and quality.
