Is there anyway to set two different pointer speeds, one for the internal trackpad, one for an external mouse?

I tend to use a mix of the trackpad and an external mouse. At the current pointer speed setting, the external mouse is comfortable to use, but the trackpad speed is a tad bit too slow for my liking.

However, if I speed up the pointer speed to suit my trackpad, when I use the external mouse, it's a bit too fast.

Is there a way to set them separately? I don't want to have to go into the mouse properties and change them everytime. It's not a really that big an issue at all, but if there's a solution, I'd be really happy.

I have the same issue. I don't like taking my mouse around when I go places with my computer - mostly because my REI notebook sleeve doesn't have a place for the mouse. So I have to constantly change the speeds all the time too. What I have done is make a shortcut to the Mouse setting on my Start menu "common programs" section. It works well. But it would, indeed, be nice to have separate speeds for the mouse and trackpad, but I don't see that being possible.
