    Hi there

I am looking for a backpack for a 15.4" widescreen laptop and need space for the power pack and lots of disks and loose stuff. I also need to take it on a plane so will have to fit the airline hand luggage requirements (it can't be too heavy!).

Also, I am quite a small girl  so it can't be a huge thing, but I need space and I want it to be at least somewhat waterproof and protect the computer.

    Any ideas?

Have a look at the Wenger Swissgear bags. WH Smith were selling them cheap (£20-£30) about a year ago and Morgan has some. They are reasonably light, comfortable and have plenty of pockets. And not being plain black means they don't shout "computer".

I was looking at this brand, they do look sturdy and have lots of space. Thanks for the info!

Does anyone know what the dimensions are of the the Wenger Swissgear Synergy when the pack is fully loaded?

I tried on the Targus Campus and their shoulder straps are very wide apart. I have little shoulders and I worry that it will keep slipping off. There also doesn't seem to be much space once the laptop is in and the straps can't be shortened enough. I haven't managed to find a Swissgear to try on so can't really compare.

    Hope someone can help!

Have you tried the Targus Citylite? They're cheap, and fairly small, so they could be what you're looking for.

IMO, best way to do it is to go to a store which has a wide selection of bags, and trawl through them.

Thanks MrFong. The only Targus City Light bags I can find on google are not backpacks and I am specifically looking for a Backpack.

I can't find a store with a good selection in my area (Nottingham, UK). The few computer stores have very limited stock.
