Is there a single device which is a combination of these two? Ie. has a USB C input for power, passed through to the laptop, the same connection brings DisplayPort back and splits it in two. (Yes I could use a DP-to-dual DP MST hub with the power passthrough USB-C-to-DP dongle but I wanted less cords :) )

If you can afford a thunderbolt 3 dock it would be perfect for what you want. There are plenty that can provide power delivery along with data on a single cable. It would also have more bandwidth than USB-C which is important for signal stability with using multiple monitors.

That's no good as the laptop I want to use multiplexes only a single DP into the TB3 stream. Also there might be full on docks which might be able to but the really small size of the devices shown is very alluring.
