My wireless mouse has been working fine all up to this afternoon, when Windows decided it didn't want to recognize my wireless plug thing anymore. I have no clue why, it just happened to randomly. It was working fine and then when I tried to move it again it stopped working, so I unplugged the receiver, plugged it back in, and it shows up as "Unknown Device" and it "malfunctioned." The receiver is fine, and so is the mouse (tested on other comps) so what's the problem here, and how do I fix it?

Edit: BTW I tried the unplugging the power thing, and the change power management in device manager thing, neither worked.

Does it work in a different USB Port on that laptop?

If it DOES: Then that specific USB port it doesnt work in, is probably damaged or breaking.

If it DOESNT: Then, there is something wrong with Window's driver memory for that device AFAIK... ive had this problem... the only way i know of clearing it, is a clean OS install
