Hey guys, could you please point me to the biggest (in capacity) USB/Firewire (firewire preferred) powered external HDD?

I currently have a 250gb WD and it seems I need more space. Money is not a problem, I just want something big in capacity, but with no power cord.

    Cheers! :D

WD has actually come out with a 320gb version of the passport portable hard drive recently, if you want to check that one out. the largest capacity portable hard drive at the moment is 320gb, and I believe WD and buffalo are the only ones with those sizes out on the market.

Thanks, so that's WD and buffalo. Any other company, or that's the biggest they can get with USB/Firewire power?

    Cheers! :D

Hitachi just released their 400 and 500Gb 2.5" drives so expect to see them in external enclosures sometime in February.

Seagate FreeAgent Pro has 750GB eSata/USB/Firewire drive. Western Digital has My Book Premium 2TB RAID/Firewire/USB drive.

@RasBastard: Awesome! Thanks for the heads up!

@optomos: Yeah, I know, but that's with an AC adapter. Not USB/Firewire powered..
