Well, it looks like a keyboard with built in USB ports aren't practical, so are there any suggestions for good external USB hubs? I've read a couple of user reviews, and some hubs seem to suffer from not being compatible with various devices. thanks!

    I have this hub:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182139

It has been perfect for me. It is externally powered which was a big plus for me. It works with everything that I have connected it with: Keyboard, mouse, Xbox Wireless Controller Receiver, iPhone/iPod connector, printer.

It comes in white or black.

The major downside is that the power cable and mini-USB cable are a little on the short side.

I have a Logitech Noteboook USB hub. It comes with a power supply but you dont need to use it unless your gonna put heavy load on the hub (eg. charging ipod + other devices, etc)

    Flipfire,

I also purchased that hub but an AC adapter or a carryi8ng pouch was not included with it. Pics would be nice, but are you sure it is the same hub as you included in the original link?

    really that is weird?

I went to the website aswell before i bought it and it said nothing about the AC adapter but when i went to the shops and actual bought it, it had one. It even says it on the packaging.

Even the adapter is branded logitech

if you go to the American Logitech website, you can buy the adapter separately. If you go to the Canadian Logitech website (which I need), it only says that the adapter is not included and the website doesn't sell it separately:

"* AC adaptor not included, but may be required for use of high-power USB devices such as portable hard drives."

just curious, which shop did you buy it from? I'm in Canada, and I'm not sure where to go to buy one since the website doesn't sell the adapter.

Im from Australia, so i dont think we will have the same local stores.

The adapter came within the packaging. Must be the new one or something

Ask the seller/store if it comes with the adapter before you purchase it.

I got mine back in December at BestBuy and it didn't come with a AC adapter.
