Just looking into different methods of keeping my laptop clean, and came across vendors selling usb powered mini vacuums. Was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these.

They're more of a novelty than tools. You'll want to open up the computer while you dust, which means shutting it off.

I have one. It is good for getting it the crevices between keys. But it doenst really have too much suction power. A simple can of air spray does a better job to be honest. But they are safe.

Vacuums are not safe for computers. They create static electricity that can be harmful for components.

I'm pretty sure that's normally because vacuums run over carpet. Otherwise, I can't see where the static is coming from. It's just a glorified fan attached to a large straw.

It would really be moreso for than keyboard than the inside. I'm thinking from the standpoint of trying to suck things out from around the keys rather than just blowing it around possibly deeper under the keys where I'll never get to it.
