    Hi,

I'm looking to buy a USB TV Tuner for my coming 17" laptop but have no idea what to buy. The price is not an issue but I'm not looking for a fancy one either. Just one to watch, pause, rewind and record cable TV with very high quality.

That's all I want from it, but with highest quality possible.

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Sam

The Hauppauge PVR USB2 is what I've been using for over a year now. Great picture and compresses to MPEG externally, saves processor cycles and HD space. Has about a 2 second delay, so don't even think of using it for your Atari 2600 or other game system.
