I need a USB headset because i need a new headset for work, and I would like a nice one for home game use as well. a couple options I've noticed are the steelseries siberia v2 USB, and the Logitech G35. Another one I've been looking at is Amazon.com: Sennheiser U 320 Multi-Platform Gaming Headset: Video Games. Price isn't really an object, just less than $200 would be great. I want something with microphone noise cancellation if possible.

a couple things to keep in mind while suggesting:

the headphones + standalone mic option WILL NOT WORK for me. I need the all in one package.
    must be USB
comfort is a plus, and I have a large head.

any suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks.

Gamescom has a USB headset too if i recall correctly (forgot the model #), there is the Corsair Vengeance 1500 and 2000, the latter being wireless. The Logitech G930 is another wireless USB headset. Have you considered using a 25$ turtlebeach usb soundcard and a regular headset? That would open up more options.

Yup, a single USB dongle + AMAZING HEADPHONE + modmic = better than any headset.

Again, I need a headset. Cannot use separate things.

I get not wanting to have two separate wires, even though the modmic attaches to a pair of headphone to make something exactly like a headset (aside from separate wires) because they can tangle if you intend to transport the headset, etc. However, I don't see how something as small as this: Turtle Beach, Inc. - AMIGO II that attached at the end of the headset wires could be a problem, but you know your needs better than us. It adds something the size of a wireless USB dongle and doesn't cause any cable problems imo. This as I said before would basically make any analog headset a USB headset opening many more options (maybe something more to your tastes) and it's PnP.

If you're dead set on something that ends with a USB connector without even a small dongle, I already listed the USB headsets that I knew of in my previous post so you can just ignore the small paragraph above this one.

I took your suggestions into consideration. Thanks for that. I was mainly talking about the post below yours. the USB soundcard option is a decent one. I was hoping for a more compact option, as I have to carry it too and from work everyday, and the more pieces, the worse off I would be. After a bit more research, the Siberia V2 USB just adds in a usb soundcard to the package anyways.

There are a few that have the DAC integrated somewhere in the headset instead of using a dedicated soundcard. The logitech you mentioned and the vengeance 1500 are like that. They are large and the vengeance at least doesn't fold so it isn't exactly easy to carry.

Alright thanks. after a bit more research, I think I'll go with these sennheisers. I trust sennheiser to give me a good sound and a quality product, and the 2 year warranty isn't too shabby either. Thanks for the input. I didn't really like the logitechs styling, and the corsairs seemed a bit bulky for my intended use. I do appreciate the input though.

Yeah, the corsair are quite big, I have both the Vengeance 1500 and 2000 at home and they're convenient for gaming, but I don't plan to take them somewhere with me, too big.
