I've never seen this adapter anywhere. But it would be good.

Oh wow, amazing! Thanks a lot! :D

I will buy the female USB to 4 pole 3.5mm adapter, but I doubt it will work... From what I see, the Megalodon draws considerable amount of power, which the 3.5mm jack won't be able to supply. Worth a try though, it's only 2 pounds!

Regarding the MicroUSB cables, after some readings I now see that it won't work, since the GSII's kernel doesn't support USB Audio DACs... :(

In this case, I'm not sure if it will work. Anyway, let us know.

I have my doubts about a usb to 3.5 adapter. feels like one of those fake china cables that never work but they sell them to people that think they will work and wont bother to return it because it cost more to return than its worth.

The common cable I know of is VGA --> RCA it ONLY works on video cards that have a TV out via VGA function and any video card that supports that feature comes with the adapter.

Going from usb (digital) to 3.5mm (analog) requires some kind of converter not just an adapter and it would have to be supported via drivers on the device (external sound cards are usb --> 3.5mm, they need audio drivers to work) going the reverse route trying to take usb sound device and break it into a analog singal sounds impossible without the device being manufactured specifically with a product in mind and having special drivers made for it.

Over at an android forum, there was a tablet that successfully used that adaptor...

When I get both of them, I'll update this thread :)

I don't remember, it was a pass-by reading when I was searching for an adaptor. I remember seeing a tablet with that exact female adaptor connected to the speakers.

My memory might be tricking me though, it might've been a MicroUSB to USB too.

I think what you're looking for is a USB sound card then. They take USB (digital) signal and convert it to 3.5mm (analog) signal. Those are everywhere if you google for usb sound card.

That would be the wrong way around.

Just like Vicious I have my doubts of that adapter working. The only way I know of to supply the headset with audio from an external, non-USB source is to plug said source into the line-in port of a computer. Of course, that would defeat the purpose of using your phone considering you might just as well play the songs from the computer instead. To me it sounds like you would be better off returning your headset and get something analogue instead.

Yeah, I was thinking about exchanging it to the HD518 (or the 555/558 if available). Is it worth the change, or should I keep the Razer? It has some nice sound and sexy gimmicks (positional audio gave me near-wallhack abilities in CS ), but I would like to have superior audio quality (the 518 blew me away) and the ability to use it in my phone...

Plus, I'm quite sure that the sound card on my laptop isn't really good, so I serioisly don't know if I should exchange the razer... They're really nice, but I think that Sennhesier will offer me a better sound experience... Being afterall a musician...

The Megalodon's audio quality is not as good as it should be considering its price. They're also a bit too bassy for my taste, but I do like the comfort they provide. Honestly the "surround sound" sounded pretty much like tinny 2.0 audio to me. It is virtual surround after all. I would trade them for a pair of audiophile-grade headphones in a heartbeat.

    I agree!

But unfortunately, they're untradeable apparently... :( They're still quite awesome nonetheless!
