hi there!
I'm searching for an USB3.0 USB hub, preferably powered. As I've heard there are a lot of buggy 3.0 hubs out there, which is the main reason why I'm asking you guys instead of just picking one from amazon for example.
Thanks in advance!

Try the following:
http://www.amazon.com/Kanex-7-Port-...?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1326326569&sr=1-44
That's the hub that I have. I've been using it for over 5 months now. It works really well. I know that the reviews say it's bad, but some people don't seem to understand that you need to install drivers for USB 3.0 since Intel/Windows don't support it natively. The hub has 3 3.0 ports and 4 2.0 ports. -
^The description says 7x USB3.0 ports though(?)

The second review seems to support what metril said.

Any other suggestions?

Try following this thread:

I've been wondering the same thing. -
^thanks! I'll check it out.

That thread mentioned two posts above refers to the Targus USB 3.0 docking station. That whopper costs $200 dollars.
Looks like we will have to wait until more devices require USB 3 before someone produces a decent USB 3.0 powered hub. I have five USB 2 devices hanging on my laptop with a USB 2 powered hub now. I would be out of luck if those devices required USB 3.0. -
well, the thread wasn't really helpful, because it's more about a docking station, not just a simple usb hub.
And there should defintely be some working usb3.0 hubs out there. -
One word "Google"

^yeah, better just close the forums here...
