I'm looking for some carry cases for netbook-tablet for sizes 10-11.6. Has anyone tried any here, and have suggestions to recommend? I dont need any cheap ebay kiddy-looking ones, or ones that are zipped folders with no straps that are commonly used for those sizes. Something that's practical and elegant and will allow me to carry my tablet or my netbook safely, and not having me look like a dork as well :)

ZeroShock III used to use one for my Asus EEE keeps it very safe and is pretty much exactly what you asked for.

How about tactical dork? Hazard 4® California Kato

Being an Acronym addict I really wish their 3A-11TS (since I have pretty much every other bag in their collection :p) fit tablets other than the iPad, but sadly not.

The Flatpack is a nice choice for going minimalist. Availalble for iPad/11" Air size.

Coteetciel have a number of possible solutions. The tablet bag is a little bit femme for me, but you might not think so. They do others.

These are some of the best options i have seen, honestly. Got any more? Although availability might be an issue, since i'm from Europe and dont know how easy it will be to find such unique products here, but still i can get an idea of what products are out there. So far the best i have seen from my Region was this Victorinox Bag, which still isnt as good as the products you showed me.

Acronym, Hard Graft and Coteetciel all either are made in or are available in Europe. Hazard4 stuff is available across Europe, mostly thru military gear suppliers.

For a more utilitarian look, there's Bagjack - Berlin based (and the colab partners to Acronym). The slingbag is a netbook backpack.

I mean availability in terms of finding them on nearby shops and trying before buying. I would hate to make a choice based on pictures from the internet, pay huge shipping costs and find that it doesn't suit my needs.

Check return policies. Also most European countries have specific laws regarding distance selling. If you buy within the EU you should be protected under these rules.

    Noted.

Ok so let me go into some deeper analysis here.

The first bag "Kato" is ruggedy, nice quality for outdoors, but a little bulky for me. Plus i calculated shipping, and its 60 dollars. Thats more than half of what the product costs. This factor alone would be a letdown even if it was my top choice.

As for Acronym, i like the versatility of the straps. You say its only for ipad, so this is not even eligible for my purchase but it just gives me an idea, if i could purchase similar straps and implement them on a bag of my choice, and make use as shown in the pictures. Is it possible?

Cote Ciel are probably the best looking and practical as well. But cost pretty much for their casual look. Decent Shipping though. Only 15 euro for my counrty.

The Hardgraft has very nice leather but is pretty expensive also.

Overall i would set a limit of 100Euro for my pruchase and a little extra like 15 for shipping.

Before my netbook i was using a lacoste shoulderbag but it only accomodates tablets up to 7". It cant fit 10-11'6 sadly, or i would still be using it cause its nice and handy.

Internet Photo not mine (bad quality), but this is it.
