Hi all. Not sure if this is the right place to post this but im having a severe problem with my touchpad. Everytime i close my Dell XPS M1530 and reopen it the touchpad becomes unsensitive for a while then just kicks back in fine. Its really getting on my nerves. Any ideas to help me with it??

I have reinstalled the drivers but not luck.
Really would like to get it fixed.

Check to make sure your laptop doesn't go into stand-by or something when you close your laptop. It could be that it's coming out of stand-by when you open your laptop so it takes awhile to get everything back up. To check right click the battery in the lower right corner, click on adjust power properties, then advanced. See what it says under When I close the lid of blah blah blah.

Nah checked that. I changed it to Do nothing as soon as i got my laptop. So i dont think thats it. I thought it may have been turning of as part of the power saving options (like my network connections) but dont think it is it.

It happens to my laptop also, it takes a second or two for me to be able to enter my password.

Its still happening and it seems as though when i reopen the lid the dell touchpad icon in the corner shows pressure on the top left and then right handside randomly. however im not touching the pad at all.

    Any ideas?
