Hey guys, I'm having problems uprgading the firmware on my Razer DeathAdder mouse. I don't have the CD, and during the firmware upgrade it says it needs driver software for my BOOTLOADER? I take it this is the mouse. I point it to the folder where I unzipped the firmware update (1.27)...but it fails.

Any help would be great. Keep in mind I'm running Vista x64.

    Thanks

My drivers are touchy too. I have to keep my mouse in the same USB interface that I originally installed the drivers on to use the RAZER interface.

I have the latest drivers but right now I'm having the same problem as you trying to install them from the site.

It's probably a Microsoft update that changed something.

Contact Razer to see if they can fix this.

    NO NO NO.

There are no Drivers for Vista X64.

Atleast till last 2 weeks there Werent

U can ask some hacker friend of yours to MOD it for u.

Or u can Request Razer to really come up Fast with the Driver.

so...I just let it run plug N play for now?...and don't install the software?

should I at least try and stick it in an XP machine to upgrade the firmware?
...and in order to do that, I have to install the driver first...correct?

Man, without Driver its just an ordinary mouse apart from awesome design and comfort.

and it will run on 450 DPI with NO on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment.

Contact them & Compel them to help you out with new driver.

well, I got the firmware updated on my wife's XP lappy, and the latest driver installed so I can use the program...but who knows if the driver will work properly.

I'll let you know how things go.

    Thanks
