I don't see why it would be any different than a wired keyboard, especially if you are close to the actual machine. The only thing you have to worry about is battery power, so that you don't run out of that in the middle of your games...that would suck.

Many on Counterstrike forums are telling me to avoid wireless keyboard..
It has a high response rate.. since it takes the instruction to travel to the receiver.

    Plus it lags too?

Maybe you'll sense a problem with the keyboard, maybe you won't. I've got a little bit of a mental stigma against wireless devices, so well, so much for that. That, and the added hassle of having to think about the battery.

Some people are fine playing shooters at 30 FPS. Others absolutely need to have 60, or even 100 FPS, before they feel like the gameplay is smooth. It may very well boil down to how you feel using the device.

i second that... a dude whupped my arse at a game of 8-ball using the back side of a house cue and said...

"it's not about the gear dude..."

i use a wireless mouse and keyboard on warcrack... eh... no probs here.

oh yea, i did see a buddy's toon run into a room full of mobs... his battery was going out or something like that... that was funny tho...

and if you go wireless, hey, give thems landfills in some unfortunate 3rd world country a break... use rechargable battery...

Personally, id never pay a premium for a feature that wont be used. Unless you have the computer hooked up to a big screen display, and want to use it as a huge remote control, theres no good reason to go wireless.

That said, provided you have healthy batteries in the thing and are within its range, it should work as good as a wired keyboard. They making gaming wireless mice, and theres a LOT more data traveling between those things and their receivers, then from your keyboard to your computer.

It will be slower, but you will not notice it. I've used a wireless keyboard/mouse for gaming before, and the only problem was replacing the batteries every so often (just used rechargeable ones, had 2 in mouse, 2 charging in plug so I could switch them easily, and same for keyboard).
