Hi I'm wondering if anyone had ever used a decent external battery before? A battery that gives at least 3 hours of run time and weighs less than 2 lbs. I read the thread about Valence N-Charge and I don't even want to try it anymore.

    Hi AznDJonE

I'm wondering the same thing. You might consider the PowerPad by Electrovaya. They have 3 different models, but all 3 are pretty big -- a little bigger than a sheet of letter sized paper, a little more than a half inch thick, and about 2 to 3 pounds.

The charge lasts a long time (longer than the Valence N-Charge) but the down side is that the total number of charge cycles is pretty low - maybe about 300 or less. These are also pretty expensive too (around $300 to $400).

If anyone knows of other alternatives, I'd be interested too.
