    hi all just got my new laptop however idosent have a backlit keyboard .
    so i need a usb light.
    now the room i use it in at night is pitch black so it dosent need to have super bright led's (also as im in hospital quite often idont want th light to disturb over people )
    so yeah reccomendations will be welcomed.
    it can cost nomore then £10

    im a decent touch typer at best but the added fact that its a new laptop i cant get to grips with it

    I have such a gooseneck lamp lying around in my drawer. Retired, since I suspect such a thing will apply too much mechanical force on the USB port which are only fixed by the soldering points on the PCB.
    A construction with a cable and a clamp (not sure if such exists) would be more favourable, IMO.

    I've had a 13 led usb light I bought off Ebay for at least a year. It was less than $5 but I just checked and it can be had for about $2.50 with shipping. Since it looks like mine I'd assume it's the same.

    It's worked great and it is the only usb light I would recommend having used a few others.

    It is very bright and the neck is sturdy enough.
