    Hi,

Well, i cant seem to find any solution from Google - I have to re-insert the usb mouse in order to get it to work. Any ideas? Buying a desktop system or disable the touchpad isnt valid options.

Go to Device Manager, and check to make sure, under Power Managment Tab of the USB ports/controllers, that all the boxes are unchecked in there. Try that. :)

No thats not an option. I choose "hibernate" because I want to. I haven't that much experience with my new T500 but all my previous laptops never had this problem. I currently have 2 HP's also running Vista business and there's no problem with the same mouse on those.

So it must be possible, somehow.

Thanks but I already have SP1 installed. A friend of mine just got his Thinkpad SL300 (nice computer btw) and his logitech mouse seems to work. So perhaps its a problem with my Targus mouse and my Vista/T500 combination.
