I'm looking for a docking station for my legion 5 pro gaming laptop is there any docking stations out there that support g-sync ? I was looking to buy a laptop mount and monitor mount unit to go on my desk just to make everything look more neat .. would like to play games on the external monitor I read where some people say you can but I've never messed around with external monitors really on my laptop other than plugging them directly up I'm just trying to make everything more simple less plugs easy unhook and pack up my laptop any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you in advance

G-Sync is used over DP. https://www.reddit.com/r/UsbCHardware/comments/fbatau/adaptive_sync_usbc_hubdock/
Docking stations - they tend to pass thru the signals provided. Optimal DS's will provide enough bandwidth @ 10gbps for USB-C connections / external displays.

The :Legion series is pretty good at handling things. I had a Y720 I recently sold that worked well other than being somewhat bulky in size.
G Sync can be bypassed allowing for multiple monitors being used @ high refresh / resolution through a DS easily. If there's a specific use case for GS being used specifically then finding the right DS with DP ports needed for the RR/Res you're looking for based on the table:
HDMI 1.4: Supports up to 4K (3840-x-2160) at 30Hz, or 1080p HD at 120Hz.
HDMI 2.0: Supports up to 4K at 60Hz
DisplayPort 1.2: Supports up to 4K at 60Hz
DisplayPort 1.3: Supports up to 4K at 120Hz or 8K at 30Hz
DisplayPort 1.4: Supports up to 8K at 60Hz and HDR
As for mounts... it's personal preference just make sure the dimensions match the size you need. For the monitor side of it typically you'll be looking for a standard VESA bracket unless the monitor doesn't have the VESA holes.
Going with a DS makes it a simple 1 cable disconnect from the laptop other than power. Is a DS the best solution? Depends on what else you're planning on plugging into the ports that they have. If you're just extending to an external monitor and nothing else? Then probably not.... if you're adding multiple monitors, have other devices / drives / keyboard / mouse then yes.
