My question is if it is possible to connect an XBOX 360 wireless controller to my Vista PC without the wireless reciever. My laptop has bluetooth but I can't get the PC to snyc or recognize the 360 controller and yes I'm pushing the little sync button on the controller. Thank you in advance for any help.

No. The 360 controller does not use bluetooth, hence the need for the reciever.

The ps3 dualshock 3 however does use bluetooth but it's harder to set up than the 360 controller.
