I previously had a Dell laptop and bought a Dell 2300MP Projector for slideshows. The cable has thumbscrews to solidify the attachment. My new HP 9500 notebook has a VGA port that will not accommodate the thumbscrews. When I attach them together without thumbscrews the projector does not recognize the notebook. Any advice? Thanks in advance.
I have solved this connection problem. However, now when the projector displays an image on the screen it is a vertically-oriented rectangle instead of the horizontal rectangle . Even the desktop is shown in this form with the left and right sides cropped off. Help!
