I received my VX Nano a few days ago and now finally opened it in anticipation for my new laptop and was really impressed by it until I pressed the buttons.

I planned on using this mouse in the library which is supposed to be quiet but I didn't anticipate it being so loud! I currently have a Logitech Laser wireless one I bought last year, my last mouse was a Microsoft wireless but none of them are as loud as this VX Nano!

*CLICK* *CLICK* - you can imagine how annoying that is especially when playing Crysis or COD4 and even browsing the web.

Has anyone else noticed this with theirs and is there an 'off the book' fix by any chance?

I don't know if I can return it as I got it from Amazon marketplace and the bottom is slightly scratched as I was trying it out on the table.

When I had my VX Nano I was more or less quite very much underwhelmed with it--especially with the high expectations I had after reading all the glowing reviews about it.

In theory, the design and features of the mouse are all a great idea but in practice much is left to be desired with its real-world operation.

I specifically didn't care at all for the excessive side-to-side slop in the scroll wheel, the very lack of the scroll wheel to act itself as a 3rd button (it merely locks/unlocks the scroll wheel detent mechanism when depressed) and, of course, the sound of the buttons when clicked didn't do it for me.

Until Logitech releases an improved redesigned Nano VX version 2.0, I'm back to using my trusty Microsoft notebook mouse.

Yeah, it's quite of a disappointment. I don't mind the scrolling wheel too much but this clicking noise is just terrible. I was thinking of opening it up and maybe change the thing that clicks with one from an older mouse of mine, any ideas if this will work?

I tried on in store :p bought the G5 with the similar click click and I love it :p lets me calculate how many clicks per second I can do :p (record noise slow it down and bang)

Wait. The Nano doesn't have a middle button?

There's another button below the scrollwheel that you can set as the "middle-button"...it was pretty annoying at first but I got used to it. I too wanted to use the mouse in a library but I realized that no matter how quiet the click is, the silence of a library will make any mouse seem loud. I found a site that showed a fellow who took out the piece that makes the "click" in the mouse but you also forgo the tactile response...
