The hyperfast scrolling on my nano is horrible now. I just started noticing it this morning. The hyperfast just seems jammed or something. I can't get it to be frictionless. Anybody else have this problem?

Hopefully you just have the Hyperscroll disabled as opposed to it actually being broken. If you push the mouse wheel in and down at the same time it will switch from using the Hyperscroll to scrolling normally with the ticks. I find that when reading large business PDF files having the tickets is very helpful so I don't lose my place. All other times I switch it back to allow the Hyperscrolling. You may have accidentally pushed it in and down without realizing and turned off the Hyperscroll.

i can switch to hyperscroll, but when i do it isnt at all like it used to be. a full scroll with it used to go like 10,000 lines in excel, now it goes 400. just feels weird now. would logitech replace it?
-
If it's still in warrenty.
My VX's usb thingy wouldn't go inside the mouse anymore and they replaced it. -
nice. i guess i will just give logitech a call

it works fine when its upside down....wierd

Did you need the receipt when you had it replaced? My scrollwheel is not working and I cant find the receipt, but have all of the original packaging still. Thanks!

No. Logitech is good about replacing mice, to good actually. When I first bought my G7 it lagged really bad. They sent me a complete new one and did not request the old one back so I figured I had one for spare parts only to find out later it was a driver conflict, so I ended up with 2 working units.

It's been over a year, but I do remember that it was a guy.

Had the same problem with my VX revolution mouse.. used to work flawlessly, but after about 5 months.. it doesnt scroll that fast anymore.. It works like new upside-down too.
All I did was blast it with compressed air, around the scroll wheel, and it was as good as new.
Hope this helps! -
I'll have to try that, I think that this is a problem with the VX and MX mouses. In fact when I as researching mouses I came upon some user reviews that talked about this, that after a while the hyperscroll wouldn't be as fast as it use to be. I'm guessing dust in it, which would make sense if blasting it with air is all you need to fix it. Or some oil thing? idk

I had the exact same problem and because I really don't have the time to take the mouse back I decided to take it apart (not to mention that I really like to disassemble stuff
). I found out that the design flaw lies with the rubber band that surrounds the wheel. After a period of use it stretches and becomes loose. That causes the traction that prohibites the wheel to hyperscroll. I took the rubber band off the wheel and cut it (aprox. 5mm) and then reattached it with a drop of super glue. It took me a while to figure out how to reassemble the wheel mechanism though. It works like a charm now and you can't even see the cut because of the indented traction lines. I just hope that Logitech's engineers know about this and make the rubber band a bit smaller. In my opinion the fault is inevitable after prolonged use.
