Can anyone offer any input on which one to buy?
I'm going to play games, some FPS's, so I want a mouse that's realtively good with tracking. I heard that BLuetooth mice sometmies cut out or have pretty bad tracking compared to USB mice. Sort of the same thing as comapring Wireless with Wired mice. By no means am I a hardcore gamer that needs a Razer mouse, so no recommendations for them.
The biggest concern for me is the portability and price.
I was thinking that the Thinkpad mouse may be worth it because I'm under the impression that Bluetooth devices don't need dongles. Although the VX Nano competes with its super-small reciever.
Also, is a laptop limited to only one Bluetooth device? And if so, What devices usually use Bluetooth? So in effect, how am I limiting myself if I get the THinkpad Bluetooth mouse?

I'm using a Revolution. I prefer it over the Nano as I have relatively large hands. The Nano's a little too small for me and I really like the Revolution's thumbrest.
Bluetooth devices don't need dongles if your machine is Bluetooth equipped. I might switch to a Bluetooth mouse, but I'm happy with my VX revolution. I got it reasonably cheap too. 17.98 including shipping and after rebate. -
Bluetooth definitely have lag issues on games. VX Nano and Rev performs the same. Read the VX nano thread.

It was 9.99 after rebate and shipping was 7+ from Tigerdirect.com.
I got a $40 rebate that time. I think some people got it for only shipping as they were selling it for $39.99-$40 rebate. I was a little late to catch that deal.
Currently tigerdirect's selling it for 39.99 + shipping. -
all irght thx guys, guess i'll gow ith the nano for my small-ish? hands

The thinkpad might work too, it doesn't look very large if you see it in the comparison pictures from the review.

What kind of grip do you use? If you don't use a claw grip (I palm my mice), the Nano will be very uncomfortable. While I liked the Nano's receiver, the mouse would not work for my hands and mouse style. Hence, I went with the VX Rev. Besides, the dongle is smaller than the part jutting out on my old USB wired mouse. You know the big piece that's connected to the USB port and the wire comes out of it. Can't describe any better. Also, in longer gaming sessions, even if you use a claw grip, your hand will fatigue.

I looked at both the Nano and Revolution - and the size difference is not real significant, but the Nano was too small for me. The Revolution has turned out to be a real winner - and I got mine at TigerDirect for $20 (as long as the rebate comes through).

I think you can use several bluetooth devices at one time. Don't worry.

The MX Revolution is freakin' awesome. The side wheel for changing programs is the coolest thing I've used. Also, the scroll wheel switches from ratchet to free scroll seamlessly and you can control how quickly it switches. It saves me countless time and effort every day

I've been using my VX Revolution for 2 days and it's awesome!! Very comfortable, portable and it works pretty decently for games.

VX Revolution is definitely the mouse of choice for my gaming needs :O (That is if I needed it to be wireless, otherwise a Razer Copperhead)
