So I just bought the VX revolution and was curious to know peoples experience with the mouse. Specifically if it is good for gaming at home and on the go?

I use a vx nano for all my mousing needs. I play crysis and cod4 and counter strike source, gears of war, etc...
its not ok for corded mouse purists or professionals, but for a compromise between mobility and performance its excellent. It does not have the classic wireless mouse problems that prevented me from using one before (short battery life and mouse drop outs and mouse lag).
There's no lag, but its not a "gaming" mouse in that it doesn't have high resolution DPI sensing ability or anything special like that. Its a "laser" mouse, but its about as accurate as a good optical mouse from a few years ago. Thats more than enough for my personal needs. It does work on random surfaces that optical mice do not, for whatever its worth. I've been competitive in counterstrike using the couch arm as my mouse pad... -
Like what masterchef said, I have the VX nano and it does what its supposed to do. While it is capable of being a "gaming mouse" understand there are limitations to what it can do, with it's mobility reasons involved it does the best of 2 worlds.

Thank you both very much, you have assured me that I made a good purchase! Right now im using a G7 until i get the VX, its fine at home but not suited for on the go.

Thats a bummer dude, from what i have been reading all over the web people are in love with the VX. Maybe you got a defective unit? Either way I hope you get something you like. Check out the MX revolution.

I had been drooling over the VX revo since it was first released. When i finally got my hands on one i was not disappointed. It has great build quality as is typical of Logitech. It's stylish, sleek and the multitude of customizable buttons truly make it a versatile device. My only real gripe is with the setpoint software. I upgraded to the latest version but i still had to tweak it a bit to get the 'feel' that i desired. So i did not get the performance i wanted right out of the box, but i was able to customize beyond that so the problem solved itself. It also lagged a bit at first but after the setpoint upgrade it has been smooth sailing. It is arguably the best right handed mouse out there. It's size is perfect, the styling is to die for, the range is wonderful, the buttons are fully customizable and so far its been almost two months and i still have loads of battery life left. I highly recommend this mouse. The only thing that could make this mouse better would be to overhaul the setpoint software and to probably add the mini dongle as part of the package. Short of those things, Logitech has done it again.

Im not sure about the VX Rev since Iv never used one. But I have a MX Revolution and it is not a gamer's mouse. The accuracy is far from bad. It is where the sensor is located that is bad.
VX Revoltion, a gaming mouse?
