Hello everyone! I'm an incoming architecture student at Carnegie Mellon University, and I've been told that I should purchase good music headphones for work in the studio, which gets quite loud.

Here are the tasks I will use them for:

    1. Music from my laptop iTunes, running behind whatever software I'm using
    -Bluetooth on my laptop? CHECK!

    2. Answering calls from my LG Rumor
    -Bluetooth on my cellphone? CHECK!

    3. Playing CS:S, Oblivion and Crysis extensively

    4. Talking on Skype *A LOT*, since my high-tech father will be across the country and my girlfriend will be in Canada

    5. Listening to my iPod (this is a maybe, since I'm perfectly happy with the earbuds they come with)

I am practically sold on the Bluetooth idea - the convenience of wireless headphones would be invaluable to me, especially the process of answering calls in the middle of music or video games. My preferred style of shorts are board shorts, which do not always have pockets... therefore I would have to carry my cell in my backpack, at which point it is SO much easier to use headphones to take the call!

I was looking at the Plantronics Pulsar 590A:
    GOOD http://www.legitreviews.com/article/339/6/
    BAD http://www.infosyncworld.com/reviews/n/7414.html
    GOODhttp://reviews.cnet.com/headsets/plantronics-pulsar-590a-bluetooth/4505-13831_7-31512239.html

I'm getting mixed reviews, including a recurring theme of "audio-video lag" in the P.P.590A. I'm suspicious that this lag will transfer over to video games!

    SO: Does anyone here know of a headset which;
    -Has stereo or surround sound
    -Has a microphone
    -Is Bluetooth-enabled
-Has no lag for video games (I don't care about lag in actual videos)
    -Sounds good
-Sits over the head rather than behind the head
    -Is comfortable

I know that I'm pretty much asking for everything, but sometimes you can find a diamond in the rough just by asking. For what it's worth, I tried on the Creat1ve Fatal1ty headphones today, and they were dreamily comfy and sounded great, but I couldn't live with a wire... I already have the iPod headphones which work fine for corded headphones, and without Bluetooth I can't answer my phone with them!

THANK YOU SO MUCH, o ye great assistants at NBR... I hope to find a winner in here! If I get no suggestions, I'm going to just buy the Pulsar 590A's and return them if they're a problem. :)

    Later gators,
    Batman
