I would love the MEC Megabyte but it is a little too long for me (I'm 5'4")

    http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_...older_id=2534374302699713&bmUID=1189916418960

I love everything about the bag:

    -good protection
    -sleek, not bulky
    -light (2 lbs)

But it's just a little too big for me

I would basically love a laptop SLEEVE in knapsack form...that size is perfect

I have Dell Latitude D630, 14" widescreen which should fit any laptop knapsack

Anyone have suggestions? Thanks so much!

what the hell is a knapsack? if you mean a backpack or a ruck sack then just buy a sleeve and put it in the backpack of your choice, best of both worlds.

    Otherwise look at boblbee.

that is a rather fine looking camo bag, then again am accutely biased towards camo,if only the the straps were wide and padded [wouldn't trust those ones carrying anything let alone a notebook],looks better than this targus messenger bag anyway.

I just ordered on of this, a Booq Powersleeve...not too bulky, has dual 1/2" hard foams in the laptop compartment for protection, a couple pockets for adapter and other small accessories.

Are there any sleeves (with strap/handles) that were made to fit a Dell 1420? I don't want a universal or a "close fit".. I don't want my laptop flopping around in a case it wasn't made for. I have to retire my 15.4" laptop-backpack because of moves around too much, no security.

    http://www.sfbags.com/products/sleevecases/sizing/dell.htm

Looks like you want the 27-19 (Horizontal) or 27-20 (Vertical). A flap and D-rings/straps are optional. I don't think it has a handle.
