Hi, What does everybody think about putting vibrapods under a laptop to reduce vibration and increase space between the bottom of the laptop and what it's sitting on. (table,chair,ect...) Overkill or not?

Depends on how badly your laptop vibrates...

If it's gonna shake so much that your house shifts inches to the side on the lawn, then yea, Vibrapods will will surely cure that issue. :p

Agreed. Do you actually have a problem with vibration, or perhaps a lack of storage space under your laptop? If so then go right ahead, otherwise: what problem are you solving exactly?

If your HD vibrates I'd recommend replacing it with a Samsung - in my experience both their 2.5" and 3.5" drives are exceptionally quiet and vibration free.

LOL!!! that's funny Raziel66, I thought the same thing when I saw a thread about a hard drive getting to hot.lol. Actually my laptop runs as good as I could hope for, it's just sort of a preventitive measure as to reduce the effect of movement that the laptop/hardrive might recieve when the table wiggles. Also for more air movement under it. I know there are coolpads and such that are meant for this purpose but I'm trying to avoid using to many USB ports, so to free up as much CPU power as I can, as I record audio with alot of softsynths. Come to think of it you probably could use the vibrapods for a number of rapturous enterprises.
