Well I have looked through many threads on the forum for coolers for this notebook but none of them seem to have a conclusion.

    1) Some have stated the Vostro 1500 has intake in the bottom and send it out on the sides

Is it true? If so is a cooler needed

    2) High humidity +40 degrees C + cooler?

    3) what about other cooling products such as the Evercool Magic Notebook Idea Cooling NB-MA1?

    feedback please

    Thanks

    1) Yes that is true.
    2) I don't think you need to be worrying about condensation due to a cooler.
    3) I personally use Ventec lapcool2 due to it's low pricing. It is smaller than the 1500's base and comes with only a small stripe of metallic plate, and it works well. I imagine any cooler that you purchase with research can function much better than the cheap one that I picked up at local Fry's.

EDIT: here's a link for what lapcool2 looks like:

pretty cool cooler, but does it really make a big difference with a cooler if it has only intake at the bottom? I thought most coolers suck air in from top

Well, there are legs that can make the cooler tilt at an angel, and as long as you put it on a solid surface, it will be able to suck in airs from the sides. Most of the time, I can feel the air, that travel along the base of the 1500 and comes out from the space between the cooler and the laptop, all most all of the time it comes out as cool air, especially during winter when the ambient temperature is alot lower.

I never owned a cooler that works by sucking air from the bottom of the laptop thus, I can't really make the comparison.

I have a 1500 and don't think one is necessary.

    THANKS

How are the ever so popular ( on these forums ) zalman n1000 or the zalman n2000.

is it worth going with the 2000 with a bigger surface? more cooling even if laptop is too small?

Tempurature in Tokyo can hit over 40 Degrees C. and I have seen many desktops/laptops fry or shut down due to the heat and humidity so I would rather have one..

Then you should also look into undervolting your CPU, it will help reduce the temperature. I have undervolted my CPU, and it runs about about 5 C with intensive tasks, such as gaming.

Nope. As long as everything is well tested and within limits, the CPU should run normally. The only downside to undervolting is instability when voltage value was proven too low during testing, in this case, raise the voltage value, and do the test again. For the test use program like Orthos to stress the CPU, if you can run it for 2 hours + then the voltage is stable to keep.
