    Just a simple poll.
If you had to pick from one of the following, which one would you pick?
    Performance Mouse MX™
    MX™ Revolution
    MX™1100 Cordless Laser Mouse
    G7 Laser Cordless Mouse

    Vote away!

If you must know, yes I am looking at buying a new one.
I'm only interested in a cordless mouse. I do play some video games but nothing serious that requires a high end gaming mouse - I've been using my Logitech MX™610 Laser Cordless mouse for the last few years and it's been fine (it's been damaged hence why I need a new one).
    Thanks! :)

    I'm a claw gripper. I can't stand the G7.

What do you mean by claw gripper?

Also, how big is the USB receiver on these devices? I know the Performance Mouse MX has a tiny one that barely sticks out. Are the others similar to that (or longer like my current one)?

Claw gripper are people who use only the tip of the fingers to press the buttons of the mouse. Palm users are people who rest their whole hand on the mouse and click using the entire finger.

Playing with a cordless mouse for gaming may have lag because of the wireless to take that into consideration.

The first 4 weren't designed for gaming while G7 was.

The VX Nano is notorious for double clicking when it gets to be around a year old. This seems to be their only mouse in the hyper scrollwheel era to have a known defect. However, it is still covered by warranty, so that's a good thing.

Wow, I'm the only 1 who chose MX Revolution. I have it and, although configuring took a bit, it works great. Fits my hand very well and no other mouse matches the amount of buttons it has. In fact I wish they put tilting on the side scroll wheel as well so you gain 2 more buttons. Anyways it makes things very convenient for a lazy person. Only complaint is that the USB adapter is huge. Battery life is 2 weeks, mouse never turned off, used like 10 hours/day.

When I was shopping for a wireless mouse there were a few things that made me avoid the Mx revolution. The non removable battery, too high of an arch for me on the mouse, and I don't like the second scroll wheel near the thumb; too easy to hit. Everybody is different, but these are some things that kept me away from it.

If you plan on gaming at all, I'd go with the G7, although I am more inclined to recommend a Razer mouse.

Is this still reported as a common problem or have they fixed it?
I don't really want to have to deal with this problem, even if it is still covered under warranty it's not something I want to deal with.

As I said, I don't do a lot of gaming anymore.
I pretty much don't play any FPSs anyway and all my gaming for the last few years have been done on a Logitech MX™610. So it's really not an issue.

Fair point. What kind of grip do you use? Palm, claw, fingertip?

Logitech has not addressed the issue. They have made no changes to the VX Nano after it's pilot release. It's a very good mouse, but it just has a high probability rate of double clicking after long term ownership.

Then none of the mice you listed are going to be great; they're definitely more suited to palm grip users. Some good claw mice include the Logitech G9, VX Revolution and VX Nano, and the Razer Lachesis.

MX 1100. I'd be using it right now if it were released a few months earlier.

I just voted for the Performance Mouse MX since it seems similar to the MX Revolution, but the "Darkfield" technology seems kind of cool.

I've used my friend's MX Revolution, and love it. But, it's way too much for me to justify spending on a mouse (even when it's steeply discounted), and I'm more used to small mice.

I have an MX Revolution mouse and i love the feel of it, its so comfy in your hand. The only minor issue which is a known one is occasionally when your charging it the green charging light will suddenly flash to red, this is to do with the battery inside that needs moving to make a clean contact, a quick gentle tap on the floor cures this or if you unscrew the mouse and take the base off you can re position the battery and clean the contacts.

Its worth that slight aggro as it only happens once in a blue moon, otherwise its a great all round mouse that feels great in your hand.
