Can I delete all the preloaded stuff on it?
It was given to me as a present with some films already on it, and works fine without installing all that crap on my laptop...

Also, it clutters the place up something awfull.

Yeah, you can go ahead and delete everything. I have a couple of Passports and I've always deleted that stuff. It will work fine, it's just usually a helper program.

Me too... I recently for the WD My Passport Essential, and it came with some WD sync software or similar...

Though I immediately reformatted it (+1 on Nizzy ^^) and got the stuff I wanted inside it... got rid of the .exe' too.. and I also figured out, that if you need it in the future, you can download it from the WD website ;) ;)
