    Hi =]

    I just got my 320GB WD Passport Essential today and installed it.

    When I try to remove it using the Windows tool it won't let me. It keeps saying that the device is in use and to close any applications that may be using it.

    As far as I know there are no applications using it. I have tried restarting my computer mutiple times. The only things I have running apart from Firefox are my antivirus and MSN.

    It's not actually spinning though....it's not vibrating and I can't hear anything.

    Anyone know what the deal could be?
    Would it be bad for me to just unplug it?

    ^ I have no idea what the problem is, but it has happened many times for me with the iOmega...

    And I just usually plug it out after trying a few times, simply out of frustration... but nothing has ever happened... its been working fine... and I have been having this iOmega for nearly 2.5 yrs now..

    Btw, have you tried setting the device policies to be removed quickly rather than performance?? or vice versa??? See if that works...

    How do I do that?

    And it's stopped spinning now, I can't hear anything and it's not vibrating. I thought "Finally!" ...but it still won't let me remove it....
