Should I split up the backpack and the puter? Or would that just be wrong (providingI find it a new dungeon).
-
What are you talking about?
-
I don't understand...Please expand.

i think he is asking if he should get a seperate pc bag and backpack?

lol guys i think he mean WoW(world of warcraft)
but then when i look at the sentence i dont get it....(Scooby Doo: I don't get it!) -
Well if he has a sleeve, he can put the notebook in there for added protection, and then into the backpack!
lol...if that's what hes talking about.
Or, yes..he could also get a laptop bag, and a backpack.
*Houston,,,,we have a problem*
Cin -
Might as well order them both at once. That's what I do while dungeon hunting.

The lvl 121 green backpack is way better than the lvl 80 purple one.
Put it on the auction house since its BoE. -
or you can always disenchant it when you get back into town...its just a parlour trick dude...lol
(Professor Evil....) -
Perhaps he's selling it?
-
I think hes got a WoW backpack, and a WoW themed laptop, and hes asking if he could use the backpack with another computer without looking a tit.
or vice versa.
i really dont think it matters dude lol -
I am so sorry for not explaining further, I have the M1730 Dell and it came with the backpack, and I am getting rid of them since I am not a gamer and it is just too big for me! So, anyways, I was looking around and I saw the backpack being sold separate on several auction sites and was wanting some input as to whether that would be impolite or if I should sell them off separate. I figured that I could get the best input here but failed to fully explain...
-
You would probably be better off selling them separately. There are more people who just want one or the other rather than people who want both.
-
Or offer the notebook with a backpack, and if the buyer doesnt want it sell it seperately?
I agree that DE'ing and selling the mats on the AH is the way to go tho.. -
I think, maybe sell it separately would be a good idea
Cin -
It would make shipping it cheaper, then I think about how protected it would be. *sigh* The only conclusion I have made is I want a small laptop (like my wife's Dell I am using right now) again. It just sits on the desk there, hulking...not being used. Thanks for the input, I will just have to ask whoever gets it, I guess!
-
Good luck on selling and shipping!
Cin -
Yeah, it's a monster! I don't want to imagine shipping costs. But...it would protect it.
-
Oh yeah it would surely protect it! Wowsa!

That WOW edition M1730 will sell for heaps considering it was limited edition.
And if you still have that golden ticket, you can make a tidy profit. -
You know, I thought my ex-carbuncle couldn't be any more carbuncly. I'd forgotten they released that 'limited edition'
-
Well at least it has the RIGHT faction markings on the notebook...For the Horde!! hehe
Those were never available here in Australia and I know a few people personally who would go out of their way to get something like that....
Awesome bit of kit though, yes it would be a shame to split it, but you are more likely to sell singular parts over the whole lot, then again, given its rarity (like a WotLK Collectors Editionlol) I don't think you would have many issues selling the whole lot.
Maybe you can offer it as a job lot initally, but if you only get queries about single items well you could go that way the old "Prefer to sell complete however willing to seperate" sort of advertisement.
Now that I have seen it, even I would have bought the whole kit and had you ship it over here...except I bought my TT instead and therefore currently cannot justify yet ANOTHER notebook on my desk (for a few months anyways...hehe)..grumble grumble...lol
-
Haha, I really never wanted anything like this to begin with! It was a technical accident, so to speak. So, when I ended up with it I gave a friend of mine that 'golden ticket' pack and do not regret it one bit! Now that I think about shipping I do think it will be a take all or none. Not like I am hurting, financially. I think I am going to try to find a good trade, I am partial to Thinkpads myself (that portable thing again!). How are the trade forums here? Pretty up-front and honest? I do a lot of ebaying and don't really want to ebay it but I would. I hate waiting for that release, and hoping the other party isn't a lying jerk (so hard there with electronics now, I have been lucky...so far).
-
Perhaps you should fish around on various notebook / gaming forum marketplaces for an approximate idea of what you could get parted out vs bundle sale. I feel you will have a higher chance of selling it if the whole package is included but I can't be sure.
If I was being nice though, I'd certainly include another backpack, walking stick or trial gym membership along with the main unit... -
-
you could put them up separately, but then mention you would combine shipping and offer a discount if they bought the PC, bag, and games or something like that. would certainly get a lot more bids on the other items, so i dont think you would "lose" money.
-
Ah, I just listed it here, I really would prefer to have a trade since then EVERYBODY is happy. And judging by the ratings here they apply to people I think I would feel more comfortable with something being out of town or state. Thanks a lot for the feedback, you all have really helped me make up my mind on what to do with this monster of a machine. I love the idea of a walking stick, I do backpack shopping and the one or two days a month I haul a fully loaded backpack full of food makes me wonder why this would even be considered 'portable' lol.
