I'm rather happy with my Bamboo Fun though, but maybe if they had some kind of trade in deal...

My brother has something like this. Wacom Cintiq 12WX I believe. He chose it because he can draw graphics directly on the tablet rather than having to constantly look up at the monitor to figure out where the mouse pointer is.

I'm not a graphic designer or anything, but is it hard to work on a tablet that doesn't show any visual representation in itself? Do you have to constantly watch the mouse pointer on the screen so it translates well with the movement of your hand? Does it actually slow you down? I've watched some youtube reviews of intuous 4. The guy was constantly looking at where the mouse pointer was on the screen so he could pinpoint where exactly he should move his hand. Takes a lot of brain work compared to Cintiq. In other words he can't just jump from one spot to another without messing up.

Nvmnd. To get this feature you need to shell out more cash. You get what you pay. If you want to draw directly on the tablet where the visual art will be instead of having to focus on the screen above you, it'll cost $1K. I don't think anyone would want to shell out this much money unless you're a serious graphic designer majoring in graphic design.

I still have my cheap (if you call $100 cheap) Graphire 4 4"x5" model and it has served me very well when ever I needed it.

While I wanted the Intuios badly I could not afford it, after using the graphire though I relized I did not need it, even 512 levels of pressure was more than enough and the only real feature you need is just the tablet & pen.

I wanted bigger too, but after using the small one I realized it was better since I do all my movements from the wrist, not by moving my arm, so just small movement in my wrist let me work accurately without expending a lot of energy holding up and moving my arm and also saves desk space.

I'll have to go read up on this new model though have not even read the link yet :p

Sold my Intuos3 2 days before Intuos4 was announced (You got to love Engadget for providing all the bleeding edge news on product release dates), ordered my Intuos4 on Amazon and it should be here today....
Can't wait to play with the new tablet....
    *the anticipation is killing me*
