Title is pretty self explanatory. I want a large format printer that can do up to 11x17 (so tabloid/ledger size) in color. It'll be used mostly for my projects as it's starting to get costly to print all of my projects at the printer (I'll save that for the nice stuff). I don't need super duper professional grade stuff, but I'd like as much quality as I can for value, just to print out the smaller less important submissions.
At the moment I'm considering a refurbished Brother 6890 for 130$ or a new HP 7500A for 300$.
Anyone have any opinions on those or any other suggestions?

i have a Epson Stylus Photo 1400 at work
i have a Canon Pro 9000 Mark II at home
i tend to like photos off the canon more...
the epson does fine for my work needs...
both have separate ink tanks... unlike my old 1280, all colors bundled to one cartridge...
personally, i like canon... -
Another con to the 1400 was that the cartridges can be expensive to replace. -
actually, you may be able to find a good bargain on the Canon Pro 9000 Mark 2 from some photographers...
iirc, they had a MIR and package deal with a new camera and so some are selling it off...
here's a link to PoTN's for sale section... but prices seem to be around $200 -
I ordered the HP 7000 wide format printer. It didn't get anywhere near stellar reviews but it had the best price I can afford for now. I'll write a review as soon as I put some miles on it and replace the cartridges.
