I just bought a new laptop bag, without realizing that it didn't have a zipper closure underneath the flap. ( http://www.ebags.com/rawlings_sport...er_bag/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=46071 )
As a college student, I do alot of walking in all kinds of weather. I will keep the bag if I can get a waterproof sleeve (small and thin, like a neoprene sleeve). Otherwise, I'll have so send it back. Does anyone know of such a thing? I am planning on buying a 14" widescreen laptop in the next couple months -- my current laptop doesn't even fit in the new bag, so this isn't an immediate issue. I have 30 days to make the return.

    Thanks in advance!

I know someone with 14" widescreen who using a neopren sleeve designed for 15" Apple Powerbook G4. It fits almost perfectly. This could be a hint for you for googling.

that looks like one pricey bag.

I'd recommend checking out www.tombihn.com. Their bags are heavy duty nylan that has a treatment on the inside making them waterproof. I use one of their backpacks and one of their sleeves but they make messenger style bags too.

Note that neoprene is not waterproof. It keeps people warm, not by keeping water out, but by letting water in, allowing your body to heat that water, which then insulates you a little from the surrounding water.

The best thing you can do - and I'm serious - is to carry a plastic grocery bag with you. In the event that it rains hard enough to get through the bag, you can just slip the grocery bag over whatever sleeve you do get. This shouldn't be necessary, since it would really require a LOT of water to present that sort of problem.
