Logitech's are often the usual unexpensive but high quality brand for such peripherals.

Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000. It's not cheap, but it's the best (or among the best) in the range of simple webcams. Built-in microphone, great image/video quality at 320x240 or 640x480, high frame rate (due to USB 2.0), low delay, nice software, comes with a pair of nice stands, suitable for tables, CRT monitors, LCD monitors. Very nice over all.
