Well the x-fi came out on usb and i bought it. I am fairly satisfied except doesn't have bass or treble control. :/ anyhow today i accidently turn the volume high and with a pop sound, the sound was gone and made hissing noise, but speakers were fine except the sound card. I have to disable or switch to something else from stereo xpand in order to get the sound coming out. Setting it to xpand would just create hissing noise. Any ideas solving that?

Try plugging your sound card into a different USB port.

USB ports provide both power and audio output to your devices. When you bumped the volume control, you probably ran too much juice though the port and fried it.

    Hope ↑↑↑that↑↑↑ helps

Nope that is not it plugged into all different ones.
I am guessing driver or software due to the fact that the settings worked for few mins when i reinstall the whole thing. If i fried it than the either sound card or speaker wouldn't work but i said only one feature doesn't work.
