This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I didn't want to hijack the thread below me, but I am also looking for information on this external drive. Now I recently have ordered a new laptop with a 256GB SSD, but I don't want to backup a lot of data on it. I am looking for an external drive that is network ready that I can setup basically as a NAS for multiple devices to connect to and be able to stream from if necessary. Now the reviews off newegg and Amazon are not the best, however I have a few buddies locally that have had no issues and highly recommend this unit. Does anyone else have experience with this? If so, how did it work and if you switched to something else what was it?
