Gosh! Some of you folks have a lot of accessories and I am just salivating reading all the descriptions. I am also getting a number of excellent ideas as to what to add to or replace on my list.
As of now, I have only the following for my R400:
Logitech VX Nano mouse (small form factor; I've got so used to it that I don't use the trackpoint on the Thinkpad)
Lightweight Sennheiser PMX 60 headphones. Easy to carry around. Not excellent, but certainly adequate.
A Pakuma (Choroka K1) messenger bag. It is huge and carries a lot of stuff. Initially, I loved it, but recently, it sometimes feels like a drag. Am on the lookout for a replacement. I also have the stock Lenovo (Targus) laptop bag that came with the R400, but I don't use it. Very restrictive. I also have a el cheapo notebook sleeve, which came with the Acer that I used to have earlier, which I also don't use. But again, I am looking for a replacement.
A Belkin Economy Series 3-socket (Mini) Surge Protector (In India you will definitely need this). This is the Indian version, which does not have the USB ports, but has 3 plug points where I can also plug in my phone, if required. I realized the value of this when I recently lost a laptop due to power surges. Could have got it fixed, but it would not have been worth it. I have taken out the HDD from it and use in a case as a dedicated media storage device. Size: 250 GB.
A Freecom Slim 60 GB External Drive. I am never without it.
I am also including my E63 Nokia phone (Black) in this list because I use the GPRS connection (soon to be converted to a 3G connection) to connect to the Net where net connections are not available (which is often the case in India) or are outrageously expensive (like in hotels, for example) and because I generally prefer avoiding cyber cafes.
Edit: Btw, this is what I carry with me whenever I step outside the house - be it for work, or to go to the local coffeeshop to sit and do some writing and reading.

Alienware M15x
Laptop Bag: A cheap Targus 17" bag (just big enough for the M15x) that I picked up from ASDA for £10. Dont take the laptop out the house much, and its a pretty bland bag that doesnt scream 'Alienware Inside!'
Mouse: Logitech VX Nano. Used it on my previous laptop, and whilst I use it for gaming, I am looking round for a better mouse, but it seems cable might be the way (which puts me off), on top of being a leftie (which rules out half the mice available). Plus, I love the battery life of this!
Mouse Mat: The one that came in the Alienware box. Wasn't using one before, and now that I've got used to it, won't be using 'desk surface' again.
Headset: Logitech Clearchat PC Wireless. I wanted a wireless headset, and this is fantastic for ventrillo / skype, but lacks a bit in the sound (loud) and bass department, but otherwise fine to use whilst the missus has the television on. Looking to upgrade this when it dies / wears out / have spare money (which ever comes quicker!)
Speakers: A pair of creative 5.1 speakers I brought about 8 years ago for £30. Only use once in a blue moon, and pretty much only use it as a 2.1 set now (as fed up of trailing wires), again looking to upgrade, but not at the top of the priority list.
Gamepad: Wireless XBox360 Controller. Use it once in a blue moon (damn, one day I will play and get into GTA IV). After using Logitech products, hate the fact I have a huge 'pebble' attached to a 3 foot cable as the wireless receiver.
My next purchase though will be a 20-22" monitor, so when I am at the desk I'm not straing, looking down at the laptop screen.

I guess we are only going to mention laptop accessories so I will skip the stuff for my desktop or that I only sometimes use for my laptop.
Laptop: Asus G73JH-A2
loadout;
2x 500GB 7200rpm Seagate Momentus HDDs
Intel Core i7 720QM 1.6ghz Quad Core
AMD 5870M GPU
8GB RAM
1920x1080 17" LCD Screen
Asus co-branded Targus Bag
The stuff fulltime laptop use is.

Wacom Graphire 4 4"x5" Tablet
NuForce uDAC-2
Logitech Ultimate Ears Triple.Fi 10
2x 8GB USB Flash Drive
640GB 2.5" USB External HDD
80GB 2.5" USB External HDD
PlayStation 3 Dualshock Controller
All that stuff is in my actual bag and stays there. -
Who needs accessories when you got an m11x?
Just a cheap HP mouse that is very portable and a book bag are my only accessories. -
Old thread is old.
I may as well update though. I have two different setups now as well.
G73 Setup:
Laptop...of course
Logitech Z-2300 Speakers
MX Revolution
Toshiba Setup (Mobile):
Laptop
MX Revolution, when not used with G73.
Soon to be Audinst HUD-MX1 (not mobile, just as a docking station sort of concept)
Soon to be Sennheiser HD650 (same situation as HUD-MX1, will stay with USB DAC) -
Sager NP8850 (specs in sig):
- mouse: Logitech MX400, Razer eXactmat + eXactpad
- audio: Klipsch ProMedia 2.1, Ultimate Ears MetroFi 200, Head-Direct RE2. i also ordered a pair of Ultimate Ears TripleFi 10i's from a member here, but they got lost in the mail somehow.i'm still sad about that and will probably order another set of TripleFi 10's, or something in that range soon.
- (current) cooling solutions: NZXT Cryo LX, Cool Balls, Targus X-stand, Lapinator XL
- bag: whatever xoticpc or sager sent me with my NP8850 lol
- others: Netgear WNDR3700, Rosewill 7-port USB hub, Western Digital 500GB external HDD, Office Depot rolling laptop desk -
As my mouse Logitech Performance Mouse MX™ and Gamecom 777 as headset.
-
For my GE600:
-MSI gaming bag (Pretty spacious IMO, lotsa pockets as well plus its free)
-Razer Copperhead (One of the best mouse in the market even though it came out 3-4 years ago, I'd manage to find it during house cleaning xD)
Razer Megasoma (Newly purchased hard/soft gaming pad which is portable enough for me to bring around, surface wise is very smooth, no friction felt and its spacious enough for my copperhead to move all over it)
cheers! -

Also how are you liking those balls? (cool balls) I think I was the one that recommended them to you wasnt I?
-
For my M15x(specs in my sig)
I have 500GB 2.5'' external HDD
1000GB 3.5 exterrnal HDD
Razer DeathAdder
Logitech G15
LG Flatron monitor
Senheiser headphones
8GB flash drive
2GB flash drive
And my good ol' Alienware Orion backpack
For my Toshiba NB305
Microsoft Arc wireless mouse
Dell USB keyboard (That I never use)
and a 10.1 laptop sleeve
That is basically it.
That M15x really did cost me a lot with all the peripherals I got -
i got them from a for sale thread, from one of the members here, so refunds were a negative.
i'm thinkin the mail carrier either stole them or misplaced them in the wrong box. when i called to tell them about my matter, they basically laughed at me for even questioning their super duper wonderful (sarcasm...much, much sarcasm...) work ethics and services. they told me that i must've misplaced them, or i'm tryin to pull some shady stuff. rude witches. i basically had to charge it to the game cuz there wasn't anything i could really do about it besides go postal (jk).
edit: forgot about the balls.i think it was u that put up a link to them in a random thread. being the cooler lover i am, i said what the heck and ordered 4 of them lol. they're actually pretty dang effective, as well as super portable/convenient. they were so portable that i replaced my already super convenient targus x-stand with them. i just leave the balls in my bag now so i'll always have some kind of cooling solution for my baby.
we installed the cool balls on 4 different laptops: my NP8850, a asus g73, a dell XPS m1530, and a 17" gateway FX (the orange one with the 9800 nvidia GPU). every laptop reported decent temp drops and alot better efficiency. my buddies were tellin me how their laptops have become much more silent now cuz fans don't have to kick in as much anymore. with cheap and effective cooling solutions like these, i see no reason to ghetto rig any kind of passive cooler. -

- Razer proclick mouse: This mouse is okay its slow to connect. But I just use it when my laptop is stationary.
Desktop: dell xps 420
- Logitech Anywhere MX: recently upgraded from logitech vx nano its heavier compared to it but it really does work anywhere so I don't need a mousepad. I also use this for laptop when I travel. Runs out of batteries ALOT faster then the vx nano
- Bose companion 3 v2: These have amazing bass and sound
- Bose Around ear: I recently got these they work amazing but I'm considering getting the AE2s. I use these when roomate is studying or something.
- Logitech diNovo: These have lasted me quite a bit I like how it feels. But the aluminum part is either 1) coming off/getting scrached or 2) its bending where my palms usually are.
I'll leave out flashdrives/ external hds -
For my M11x,
A Radtech mactruck hard case,
a techair messenger bag,
some cheap custom mousemat (you know the ones where you provide the picture),
a Alienware TactX mouse (which looks suspiciously like a logitech G9 with a light up alien skull on it)
and a pair of Ultimate ears Metro Fi headphones -
Does the Tactx respond to AlienFX? I was told it wasn't, yet the online pics make it seem like it does (like the KB is supposed to).

Targus Usb Hub -
While my mom paid for my first laptop (see sig), I was charged with paying for all the little goodies that I'd use for it (budget of $100).
- Netgear WGR614v7 Wireless-G router, which took up half my budget
- Ativa (Office Depot) mouse (it glows blue!), now replaced by a Targus mini mouse
- some Targus 15.6" bag. Just got a Verge bag that look a little more professional than the Targus
- a 3-port USB hub, though mine is all white instead of the blue/black in the picture
On top of that, I have various cables that I have laying around: iPod connector, Sansa View connector (probably the best mp3 player I've used. too bad the battery is crap now), USB extension cable, Ethernet cable from the Xbox360 (I use wireless for it). Inside my bag, I usually have various pens, sometimes papers for school, and I keep a 2GB flashdrive with cleanup/recovery software and a Ubuntu 9.04 CD for when I have to fix a family member's computer. -
for my only laptop (in my sig):
- Samsonite Unity ICT Formal Laptop Backpack - Black
I bought it for my XPS, and its a tight fit with the M15x. It does fit, but I wouldnt recommend it for an M15x.
- MS Sidewinder Mouse
I like it, but I'd like something even bigger (I have really large hands...) and heavier... considering a Dethadder or a RAT9.
- XBOX360 controller
Best gamepad ever
- Philips SBC HN110 - headphones - Ear-cup, Binaural
I really made a mistake with these... the sound is ok (just ok, not perfect), but the design is horrible. Makes my ear cartilage hurt after 2+ hours of use, and if you don't have much hair to cushion, makes the top of your head hurt too...
maybe I'm forgetting something... might edit later... - Samsonite Unity ICT Formal Laptop Backpack - Black

An update to my post here, a year later:
-I use campus WiFi now, so I don't own a router as of yet (though I'm considering getting a cheap Rosewill to put near my bed for night surfing).
-Ativa mouse is moth-balled
-Targus (and Verge) bag is moth-balled, rarely used since I stuff my laptop in my bookbag most of the time.
Currently, I use:
-Logitech G9x as my primary mouse at the desktop
-Logitech M515 and/or generic Targus mini-mouse for travel
-Thermaltake BlacX ST0005U (usually have a 500GB HDD connected)
-Bamboo Pen and Touch graphics tablet for writing and occasionally drawing
-Some Belkan surge protector
-Computer repair "kit" (bunch of tiny screwdrivers, ESD strap, screen cleaning kit)
-WD MyPassport 320GB portable HDD (moth-balled)
-spare WD internal HDD from a dead laptop, used for Windows Backup
-JVC Gumy earphones (sometimes)
-Sony MDR-NC7 headphones. I don't like them, and I might replace them soon
-a triangular piece of plastic to prop up my laptop on the desk.
-HP LaserJet P1102w (newest addition to my collection from Christmas).
Raising a dead thread from the grave since I'm curious if anyone else has updated their collection. -
I keep the original post updated.
