I'm looking for a wireless mouse with a nano (or tiny) USB receiver. I'd love to spend less than $40, but I'm including the Anywhere Mouse MX because it sounds like the best of what's available. The mouse I get must also be somewhat precise. I'm not gaming, but I do a lot of PhotoShop-type stuff so a mouse that is laggy or choppy is no good.
Here's the mice I have on my shortlist. Which do you think is best for me?

    Logitech M305 Wireless Mouse
    Logitech M505 Wireless Mouse
    Logitech M705 Wireless Marathon Mouse
    Logitech Wireless Anywhere Mouse MX
Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000
Verbatim 96XXX Nano Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse

The G700 is almost $100, and GeekMan mentioned he wasn't going to game with it. It's a great mouse, sure, but it's well out of his price range.

And yet this has never stopped you from recommending the Orochi (or really any Razer product) based on the same premise, has it?

In any case, to the OP, I would go with one of the Logitech M-series mice you listed. They are all great wireless mice, the deciding factor being, of course, the price. However, if I had to pick? Probably the Logitech M705 wireless mouse.

You'll notice I didn't recommend the Orochi because it doesn't fit any of his requests. Feel free to keep trying to argue with me, though.

Unfortunately, neither the Orochi or G700 are within my budget. Does anyone have any other new suggestions? Or perhaps a recommendation based on the six I originally listed?

Logitech Anywhere MX or Logitech M705, depending on which size/shape you like better. The Anywhere MX has a lot of great features (Darkfield imaging, and toggle for free-spinning mouse wheel), but it's really designed as a portable / travel mouse.

If you're going to be using the mouse for long periods of time, then I would say go with the M705. If you want to go a step up from the M705, then look into the Logitech Performance MX. It has all of the great features of the Logitech Anywhere MX in a full-sized form factor.
