    Hi,
For my last year of school i have a project where i must design and make a case which holds a laptop and it's accessories safely and also let the person carrying it use it when he can sit down like in a coffee shop or on a train etc. it should support mouse or tablet use too, it's kind of like a portable work station.

I was wondering if u guys would mind telling me what kind of acccessories you bring with you when you are on the move or traveling for business or pleasure and what kind of stuff do you regularily use with your laptop?

any feedback would be much appreciated,
    Chris

USB stick, mouse, water, cell phone, cd's, a book, palmpilot

    tons of paper files.
take into consideration ergonomics if possible- i find carrying all these things to be quite heavy at the end of the day.

maybe make the outside pouch have zip-on-able variations... like most laptop bags have a main big pouch and a secondary smaller outside pouch that zips or sometimes velcros.

    { } <---- handle
    -----------------
    I zipper I
    I I
    I zipper I
    -----------------

so that you could have a small bag or one with lots of pen slots or one with a big multipurpose pouch with a water bottle holder. or maybe one that fits cds.
    anyone get it?

maybe have the bottom few inches of the main pouch divided off, with a small hole into main compartment and a bigger one out, so the cord can go through the bag when you are somewhere where you can power it. Also, offers some shock protection (to your computer, not your power brick.)

    { } <---- handle
    -----------------
    ILaptop goes hereI
    I I
    I______________I
    I Power Brick I
    -----------------

well there is a bit of a revamp of the design, im trying to make it open much like the centre console of a car (the ones where you flip it over and its a drinks holder), so when you open it you slide it back over to use it, this keeps the centre of mass low and in the same place (your lap) all the accessories will be under the lid which the laptop is strapped to.
Ill post some sketches if i can soon
