I was thinking of getting the U3 but heard it doesnt have alot of fan power, is that a concern? Had an NZXT that I love but thats staying with my old lappy that my daughter is getting. My new one has CF 7970's so I want to make sure it stays cool.

I believe the HD3 cooling pad would do just fine. It worked well with my Dell XPS 15, and it's now roughly $45.

I decided to take it apart and make a franken pad ( here) (referring to Frankenstein for those of you who didn't get it). Put the two of them together, and vuala - the best of both worlds.

For the Sager, I definitely recommend the HD3 above - check out the link(s).

Yeah I like the U3 but it wont fit in my travel pack with the laptop. I like the elevated feature as I often will put it on the bed and work from there in hotels. Any other thoughts? HD3 will fit a 17 inch laptop?

The HD3 is what you want, trust me. It fits under my M18x, so yeah, it will fit a 17" laptop.
