I am a student and need to travel to university and work everyday by bus, and I would have to keep backpack/notebook on my shoulders all the time I am walking, (and I do a lot of walking since I dont have a car yet). I am particularly looking for something that is comfortable to wear while walking around even with so much weight on my shoulders for extended time, and still is easy to carry around in bus, has lot of room but still not extending too much behind back (it doesnt balance up and my shoulders start hurting if it is :( ).

I need a sturdy but firm and comfortable backpack for my 15.4" widescreen dv6700t, which would hold my notebook and accessories securely, but has pockets and room for about 2 textbooks and some notepads, be a good replacement of school backpack if notebook is not needed and at the same time look impressing good.

I liked Swiss Gear Maxxmus, but cant say if it has all that I need from pictures. Synergy looks good but large and bulky from review pictures. Just cant decide what would be good backpack for me  ....Thanks for sharing your experience and suggestions about notebook backpack.

If you haven't already, you should check out the Crumpler and Tom Bihn backpacks. They have good reputations.
