Just post anything and everything you have/do/will use in your notebook's expresscard slot.
It seems, to me at least, that the ExpressCard slot isn't used much. Prove me wrong!

I use mine to keep the included Dell IR Multimedia remote stored inside the laptop. It fits in their really nicely and is always with the laptop wherever I take it. It's great for Windows Media Center. You can fully navigate through WMC with just the remote.

Guys,
Please stay on topic and make sure your suggestions are NBR appropriate.
Anyways, here are some possiblities for the express card slot:
-
Sound card, wireless card.

I still have to find a good use of that port...

I used a Sprint EVDO card until they capped my unlimited plan at 5GB, so I cancelled the service. Hmmmm. I still have yet to get my refund on the EVDO card I sent back to them ....

Oooh ok to be legit...
The Dell remotevery nice.

So far ham is my favorite. Seriously though seems like I was right... people don't really use their express card slots. Makes one wonder why they are so ubiquitous in laptops these days. I've been shopping around for something somewhat useful because I feel compelled to stick something in that slot!

My creative sound card starting from today

With all these bugs(sig) on NBR forum lately, I've decided to put a mini fly swatter in it.

AC Ryan 2-Port eSATA [ExpressCard] + [2.5"] AluBox Kit for Notebooks kit (model # ACR-HD52995)
The card allows me to connect any two of my AC Ryan 2.5", 3.5", +/or 5.25" 'Alubox'es - all of which support IDE/SATA drives, and have USB 2.0/eSATA connections... at the same time -

Seriously, if I could have gotten my laptop without that freaking slot I would have. -
My remote control that came with the laptop. It fits really nicely, and works from very far away.
-
A soundcard or a wireless card.
-
I use it all the time for my camera's SD card. And as soon as I get my microSD card for my phone-mp3player, I will use that a lot too.
Seriously, I love this thing. So much more handy then having to hook up usb cable every time instead. You guys are losers. -
