I want a backpack and was wondering if there was any backpacks that fit the XPS 1210 well. I know most should but it would probably not be snug at all.

i dont have a xps1210...nor can i stand dell...though i will admit there quality has gone up... I have an Avertec 2150(aka MSI s270 or 1013)
it is a 12" widescreen notebook and finding a decent backpack was difficult.i also was being very picky and i wanted one with only on strap( a sling pack)
this is what i found....though it is pricy...it is worth it.

I carry mine in a messenger bag. I got it at my college orientation for free, and it just so happens to perfectly fit my m1210

Yeah, but this company Shinza has hardly any reseller ratings and it is reported that its a whopping $10 to ship. Oh, and they're out of black :(! My colour of choice.

I found a seller on eBay that is selling it for $23+$13 shipping, but it doesn't specifically say "Shinza" but does call it ZeroShock.

Has anyone purchased a Zeroshock sleeve from a good seller?

This could possibly be a good alternative: http://www.jetpens.com/product_info.php/cPath/94/products_id/488

i dunno about u guys but then i had to get one that's for 13" to fit (it doesn't fit in the 'normal' 12" ones as the m1210 is thicker than the 'normal' 12" lappies)

If you're goning to use a backpack be sure to get some kinda of cloth protection for your screen. If you don't the forces applied while in the pack will rub the keyboard against the screen and leave permanent damage.

I have a shaggymac, but really any type of cloth will do.

How about the Nylon Deluex Carrying Case that you can get with your notebook? Is that good quality? How's the size of that thing?

Any photos of M1210 in the Nylon Case?

Really? Is that an issue with the m1210 as well, or just the w2v? It seems like a pretty major design flaw if it's true that it happens on an m1210! I would just use the cloth if it's true, not something I'd get upset about, but that really shouldn't happen!

Although if I did get any screen damage, my CompleteCare warranty allows me to have it replaced :) Complete Care really is worth it, at least in my opinion - insurance may or may not be less expensive, depending on other factors, but it's certainly less cut-and-dry than Complete Care's "you're protected basically no matter what except probably from theft/loss"

I've decided to get the Dr Mo sleeve: http://www.jetpens.com/product_info.php/cPath/94/products_id/488

I read a pretty good review of it on notebookforums. Also if you order is $25+ you get free shipping. The sleeve itself is $20 so I bought a nice mechanical pencil + 3 colour pen thingy all in one. The total was about $28 (incl tax) shipped. I'll tell you guys how well it goes when it gets here.

I had a 12" Timbuk2 sleeve for my 700m (w/8cell) and it fit well. If that helps.

I've been carrying mine in a Jansport backpack that has a sleeve for laptops but I may look at getting that Dr Mo sleeve for some extra protection.
