Is there any comparison reviews stateing which notebook coolers right now on the market cool the best, or move the most air? Right now I would like to use my HP Envy that is over clocked, it gets hot while gaming on 1080p.
Right now I play on a external monitor, and if I close the lid, she shuts right down, I want a cooler powerfull enough to handle the OC and the lid being closed. Is there any coolers on the market right now that can handle that task?

I know closing the lid and OC'ing is not good for the comp, but i plan on getting a new one soon, i just dont want this one dieing out to fast, and I really want to play with the lid closed. Kind of annoying to have it open, even witht he screen off,, its annoying knowing the its open. Id rather have the cooler and have it hidden away some where.

Does the NZXt actually move alot of air? or does it just look good? I really dont care about looks to much, liek its nice to have, but id rather have performance over looks.

Lol trust me. There are a lot of testimonials about the sheer amount of airflow these two beasts are able to move. Why else are they priced so highly? :p

    I have the SF-19 myself.

I have the NZXT and can vouch that it does cool my laptop and does the job well. My laptop would actually overheat from just browsing the web and shut down. I had to remove the bottom coverings of the ram and hard drive to keep it from overheating.

I actually replaced the fans that originally came with the NZXT with 120mm scythe slipstreamed 1900 rpm fans.

The fans are overkill, but there was a deal on newegg and I will eventually replace this laptop with a gaming laptop, so it is a win in the end I suppose

Again, its a nice investment, not very portable, very sharp edges

did you mod to the cooler make a huge difference for the amount of coin you put into it?

This thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/accessories/391310-modified-nzxt-cryo-lx-notebook-cooler-dell-m1730.html inspired me to do so, and it only cost me around 20 bucks during the sale for all 3 fans, so I said, why not.

I did not benchmark it, but I highly doubt it improved anything except for the quality of the fans will last a little longer than it originally came with

in my case, propping up my notebook with small plastic blocks gave me the same results as using the sf19, which i have just recently sold.
for laptops with strong internal fans, propping your nb could be the best solution.

depends on how your notebook intakes are aligned in the your laptop.
