This is for a ex-fc100 9MP camera. I know the only difference in getting one of theses fast cards in a camera like this are for faster save times, but would the slowest one of theses 3 show much difference in how fast it saves?

    Problably not.

I got hooked on speed when I bought a new card for my D70. I got the fastest CF card out there and found that its way faster than the camera actually saves pictures, and its even faster than the camera can transfer the files to my computer.

The only way I can make use of the speed is if i remove the card and use a usb card adapter directly with my computer.

Makes me wish I had gotten the slower larger capacity card for about the same price instead.

I would recommend the fast card only if your camera has a very fast rapid shot mode and you like to use it.

That camera says it does 30 shots in a second @ 6mb and thats actually incredibly fast even most pro slr dont burst that fast but since its only 6mp it probably still wont take a very fast card.

So normal shots - get the cheap one

If you want to use that 30fps burst I would get the 20mb/s cheaper fast card.

This is from the reviews of that card.

Basically the card is fast enough to read a full 60seconds of HD video in only 5 seconds.

HD video is about 4/5MP @ 60fps (it could be 30fps)

So its anywhere from about 6-12x faster than you would need to take advantage of the burst mode at its highest speed/setting with a rough estimate.

Of course this is assuming write/read are about the same.

Thanks for the reply. That make perfect sense. Guess I might as well get the 20mbs for cheaper.
