What mouse do you use with your notebook? Ordered a Thinkpad T61p and am looking for a mouse.
Though it's bluetooth enabled, some of the reviews of popular bluetooth mice, such as those from logitech, sound unreliable. I'm looking at the VX Nano. A bit expensive but looks awesome. The USB receiver is tiny. I definitely prefer to have a wireless mouse for my notebook.

Currently I'm using a corded MS Intellimouse 3.0. I am in the market for a wireless or Bluetooth mouse as well.
The MS Laser 8000 may be the ticket and at my local shop it's on sale for $60 CDN. I do a lot of gaming and graphics and am wondering if this would be a good option. -

Microsoft Notebook Optical mouse.

I used to use a cordless mouse but I had signal problems and hated having to remember to charge it (yeah, I know I just have to set it in the cradle). I use a Razer Deathadder and a Logitech G9.
-
I am using a Razer Diamondback and am looking to buy a Deathadder.

I'm using a VX Revolution from Logitech. I absolutely love the multiple, programmable buttons and the Laser technology - it can be used on any surface except glass/mirror. The MX Revolution seemed to have a lot of issues and was bigger than I wanted for a notebook. The Nano didn't have the ergonomics...a little more limited, but smaller.
The VX seemed to be the perfect, happy medium between those two and it has a little reciever "garage" in the mouse that makes it easier to carry around without danger of it getting lost/damaged. I love the mouse and am happy I got it. -
Logitech G9 for me.
-
This has been posted countless times....
-
I like the simple Microsoft 3000 mouse, but I use a Targus Laser mouse, and it's alright...
-
As a laptop mouse, vx nano is awesome.
It's extremely compact and all components can be stored inside the mouse. It takes 2 AAA batteries and the usb receiver really is tiny.
It comes with a sweet little case to safely store it.
However, I prefer a larger mouse for general use and I love my G9 with switchable profiles and macros. -
Anyway, I don't know the name of my mouse [lol] because I bought it as a keyboard-mouse wireless combo. Logitech Cordless Desktop LX310 if I remember correctly. Cheap, flawless, and so far still running on the same batteries I got with it when I bought it 3 months ago. Great for general use [and even gaming, at least for me] but I wouldn't recommend it for gamers and people with large hands [mouse is kinda slim/narrow] because there are better options. I'm no hardcore gamer so it's just perfect for me.
I was supposed to buy a VX Nano but it cost more than my mouse-keyboard combo lol. If I had more money I'd buy it. Looks like a great travel mouse. -
I was wondering if anyone could help me..
I have currently got a small genius notebook corded mouse but am looking for something larger for occaisonal gaming. The only thing is i can't spend too much on it. I was also considering getting a bluetooth mouse because my new laptop dell XPS M1330 only has 2 USB ports and using bluetooth would free a port. Could anyone recommend something? Also I read that bluetooth can be unreliable, is this true? -
Logitech G5, $39.99 at Dell.
-
Yes, the logitech G5.
I have two of them.
The one thumb button model and the model which has two thumb buttons.
Its a great mouse.
Get a logitech, their warranty is amazing. You do not even have to send your mouse back if it breaks under warranty. They will just send you a new one.

I love my Logitech G9....the G5 is also very good!
-
I have a Logitech V470 Bluetooth Laser Mouse.
It has been reliable so far (around 3 months now) and no issues. The biggest feature is that it doesnt have a dongle, so both my USB ports are free.
Sometimes if the system is idle for a few minutes, there is a microsecond gap for the initial mouse pointer response...but that is hardly noticeable and doesnt matter at all. Maybe this is what some of the posters meant, when they said that Bluetooth mice are not reliable. -
I love my G9 too!
But considering the OP's budget, and not gaming very often, I believe the G5 is the better fit. -

I have a two button G5. Awesome mouse.
-
I was going to get the G5, but the G9, being the sexy beast that it is seduced me away.
The G5 is more comfortable for every day tasks, but the G9 feels better in games to me. -
Razer DeathAdder.
Got it last weekend at Circuit city for $34.99. Was thinking about getting a Logitech G5 but settled for a Razer on sale.
Huge improvement!! Worth the money IMO. -
im limited to space in my working area, so im using the V450,
its small enough to carry around and the receiver is small enough to hide under the mouse -
Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 7000. It is a great mouse, but ever since getting these Microsoft mice, the scroll wheel is hard to get used to. I am used to switching weapons in games with the scroll wheel, but now since it is so smooth, I overshoot everything.
-
Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical. Been using it for years. Great mouse.

I'm using a Logitech G9 right now and I love it. It's a waste of money if you don't game though.
-
I don't think it's a waste actually. I think I'm nuts now but I bring my G9 to work with me
I have it set up so that left scroll wheel is previous tab, right scroll is next tab in my browser.
upper side button is 'ctrl-s' for save and lower side button is 'ctrl-w' for close window.
It works out nicely for browsing and for programming with Visual Studio. I like the higher DPI also.
Retail is 99 bucks which is crazy, but it's on sale for 46 bucks after rebate on Amazon.

VX Nano can be had around 30-40 dollars or so.

I'm also using the logitech G9 and i love it. At first i was a bit nervous that the shape was weird but after handling it i don't want anything else any more. I've got a perfect grip on it which gives me a lot more precise control in fps games. The profiles and customisation make it a dream for when i play rts or mmorpg games.
-
VX Revolution on my laptop(it travels allot) G5 on my desktop.
Might get another G5 for my docking station. -
Kensington "slimblade". Most comfortable I've ever used. Reliable, Durable, Long warranty, Nice brand
-
Got me a VX nano
-
razor deathadder =D

I used to have Logitech's V270 Bluetooth mouse for almost a year until it became useless...it keeps on disconnecting for some reason
anyway...I'm planning to buy VX Nano -
I've got a Logitech v270 Bluetooth mouse also. It's a really good mouse in terms of comfort and usability. The issue I have is my laptop will sometimes have a bluetooth driver issue when it comes out of hibernation. This will disconnect the mouse. I either need to restart my computer of reinstall the driver and reconnect. The restart is easier.
One of my co-workers has the same mouse with no issues... Another has the VX Nano. The Nano is a really nice mouse with a solid feel and comfortable shape. My only issue with this mouse is the wheel. As a middle button it is extremely stiff and difficult to push. We use this button often in AutoCAD and the stiff action is really annoying to the user.
Another benefit to either of these mice is they can be left handed or right handed. As a lefty, I'm disappointed that there are not more choices for me... -
When I use it, Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000
Work's fine for me -
I'm a bit of an oddball...I picked up a Logitech Marble Mouse, which is an index-finger operated, wired trackball, and use that, on the occasions I take it off the desk.
-
some free mouse that comes with my laptop...
soon to have a G9!! (ordered it today) im so happy (over a mouse lol)
-
Logitech Mini Optical
best mouse ever (especially for Starcraft!) -
I am considering getting the Logitech V470 Bluetooth mouse. I play the occaissional cs and other FPS. what do you guys reckon. How comfortable is this mouse to use?
-
I'm using the V400 laser cordless mouse from logitech.
it's a great mouse for the price around $10 if you got the MIR, but otherwise, don't. this mouse used 3 AA battery in like 1,5 month (i use my laptop around 6-8 hours a day), and it feels different then the wired logitech mouse i use, the wired one somehow feel more responsive. -
Microsoft wireless laser 5000. cool mouse unless except that the scroll wheel is sketchy in some programs. only a problem in vista, bot in Ubuntu.
-
Logitech MX610 Laser Cordless Mouse.
Love it. -
Logitech VX 410 (or something like that)
-
I use an AOpen O-35M mini optical mouse on my Compaq, and a Logitech M-UV55 optical on the HP. I prefer the AOpen mouse due to it's ergonomics and accuracy, but was unable to find another (so I bought the Logitech)....

I have a cheap microsoft notebook optical mouse for my laptop and G5,G7...etc for desktop pc.
-
I currently use the $13 wireless optical STAPLES mouse... it's a "notebook mouse" so it's real small. I was shopping to replace my prior targus mouse that just died... I went to Staples, and they had "staples brand" products for really cheap. Surprisingly, the quality is quite high! This mouse is rugged, works well, and looks nice too - For 1/3 the cost of most optical wireless mice. It uses 2 AAA batteries... I have to replace those every few weeks. Anyway, I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for a wireless optical notebook mouse.
-
I'm planning on getting a standard 5 button mouse, but right now its the basic 3 button with scroll wheel.
What mouse do you use?
